The article has some interesting background history and hints at the release of a longer interview with Randy Pitchford. We even got a special mention in the second to last paragraph!
Pitchford says that the finished Duke Nukem Forever will be completely up to date technologically, but still the game 3D Realms labored on for over a decade. “I could have started it over, and I could have taken it and turned it into something that was my story,” he says. “But that’s not what I wanted to play.”
