Duke Nukem Forever Makes Second Appearance on Alienware Website
They did it back in January and they're going at it again! The overly expensive Dell brand of Alienware is using Duke Nukem Forever images on its website to advertise its gaming machines' 3D capabilities.
I'm not sure if that means DNF was built to support 3D natively, since nVidia has a way of making it work for a good number of modern games out there. Either way, more power to Duke!

Now Hosting Classic 1997 Duke Nukem 3D Site: Maximum Carnage
Founded in December of 1996 by Dryden, who maintained the most visited Rise of the Triad web site on the internet, and Charlie Wiederhold, who invited plenty of attention as well for his .RTS Archive and several well known game utilities (EditCON for Duke Nukem 3D among them), this site is the alternative to the hundreds of other boring old game sites on the web.
Designed as a vehicle to cover several games other than just ROTT (whose popularity has waned in the past year with the release of Duke and Quake) I - Dryden - quickly realized that it would be impossible to maintain this site without assistance, so I promptly recruited Charlie, who was more than willing to lend a hand. Our primary goal is, and has been since day one, to design a site that could be navigated quickly, easily, and free of all the eye-candy graphics that only help in slowing down browsing time and page loads.

This is a live 1997 archive given to me by my very good friend Charlie Wiederhold--a former 3D Realms employee and the guy whom we all owe a huge thanks to for his single-handed effort to release the Duke Nukem 3D Source Code, which ultimately brought Duke Nukem 3D Source Ports and the Duke Nukem 3D High Resolution Pack (HRP) into fruition. Anyway, check out the site! It's got a great Duke Nukem 3D section with lots of downloads. Just bear in mind that everything on there is from 1996 and 1997--just appreciate it for what it is!

Duke Nukem Forever´s Capture the Babe Mode Angers Fox News & Like-minded Lesbians
In the South Park sense of the word...
A new videogame that requires you to abduct women and give them a "reassuring slap" if they freak out has gamers and women's rights-groups crying foul.
Brace yourself for the awfully sexist world of Duke Nukem Forever.
The game's 1996 precursor Duke Nukem 3D -- which sold 3.5 million copies, made millions for its developers and transformed the entire world of video games -- depicted women as strippers and prostitutes. The new iteration of the game, set for release this spring, takes sexism to a new level -- starting with Duke receiving implied oral sex from twins in school uniforms.
"It was offensive then and it's even more offensive now," Jamia Wilson, vice president of the Women's Media Center, told FoxNews.com. "These depictions of women are extremely harmful, especially to young women," she added.

Of course, this was all brought to light when we published these scans, leading to over 500 big sites, including Slashdot, DailyTech, RockPaperShotgun, Arst Technica, and TomsHardware to be so gracious as to link to us. Yes, we have a large dick of an ego and we're not afraid to wave it around. Come get some.

Randy Pitchford Explains Duke Nukem Forever Delay
...on the Gearbox forums:
When we announced May, we believed it and we felt that our fans, who have been waiting so long for this game, deserved to know what we believed. After all - by the time we announced the launch date (in January), we had gone many months since we first announced the return of Duke at PAX Prime in August of 2010. During that time, the sentiment among the most loyal fans was that we OWED them information.
I didn't want to do the "when it's done" thing. I think that would've been worse - more as if we were toying with fans. Certainly we must have *some* idea! That's what the sentiment would've been if we said "when it's done" and it would've been true.
We had some idea. In fact, we felt very confident that May was the time.
But the problem with these projects is that there is a lot of uncertainty in the tasks and challenges where the solutions aren't already known and the time it takes to implement the solutions that are known is also not known.

In the meantime, Randy is answering fan questions on his Twitter.
