Randy Pitchford Twitter Fan Interview: Duke Nukem Forever Demo News in April
Alithinos writes:
I thought it would be a good idea to collect the most important questions and answers--skipping the questions that are asked multiple times--and put the most interesting ones in one thread.
Here's the gist of it, in Randy's own words:
- 50 - 60 certification and "A" bugs left in the database.
- After DNF is finished, we'll probably want to do some DLC and then think about the future.
- Currently, there are no mod tools included with the game. But we love the idea of that and have done that in the past. We'll see.
- Demo news will come soon - hopefully before May.
Duke Nukem Forever Makes Second Appearance on Alienware Website
They did it back in January and they're going at it again! The overly expensive Dell brand of Alienware is using Duke Nukem Forever images on its website to advertise its gaming machines' 3D capabilities.
I'm not sure if that means DNF was built to support 3D natively, since nVidia has a way of making it work for a good number of modern games out there. Either way, more power to Duke!
Now Hosting Classic 1997 Duke Nukem 3D Site: Maximum Carnage
Designed as a vehicle to cover several games other than just ROTT (whose popularity has waned in the past year with the release of Duke and Quake) I - Dryden - quickly realized that it would be impossible to maintain this site without assistance, so I promptly recruited Charlie, who was more than willing to lend a hand. Our primary goal is, and has been since day one, to design a site that could be navigated quickly, easily, and free of all the eye-candy graphics that only help in slowing down browsing time and page loads.
This is a live 1997 archive given to me by my very good friend Charlie Wiederhold--a former 3D Realms employee and the guy whom we all owe a huge thanks to for his single-handed effort to release the Duke Nukem 3D Source Code, which ultimately brought Duke Nukem 3D Source Ports and the Duke Nukem 3D High Resolution Pack (HRP) into fruition. Anyway, check out the site! It's got a great Duke Nukem 3D section with lots of downloads. Just bear in mind that everything on there is from 1996 and 1997--just appreciate it for what it is!
